Legislative
Issues (updated as of March 6, 2008): The following
two documents, as well as the Legislative Update at the conference
will help you prepare for your hill visits.
FY2009
Funding Requests Information (PDF): This document explains
what funding levels the higher education community is requesting.
The document comes from the Student Aid Alliance of which
NASFAA is an active member. It gives a short rationale for
each Title IV program and includes what FY '09 funding level
the Alliance believes will best serve the needs of student
aid
recipients.
Overview
of NASFAA HEA Reauthorization Priorities (PDF): This
document highlights NASFAA's highest priorities for the
House and Senate Conference Committee as it finalizes the
Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act.
Hill
