Administrative capability is at the heart of the Title IV regulations, encompassing many of the measures of an institution's Title IV eligibility. Demonstrating administrative capability to participate in the Title IV programs involves virtually every office within an institution, making compliance a campus-wide commitment and responsibility. Effective cross-campus communication is therefore key to achieving compliance with the administrative capability regulations.

This training presents compliance in the context of a campus-wide effort. It will focus on developing strategies to ensure and strengthen the cross-campus communication necessary to demonstrate Title IV administrative capability. The official title of this year’s Fall Training is Administrative Capability: Campus-Wide Compliance.

Workshop Goals

  1. Identify the rules and regulations associated with administrative capability and discuss possible pitfalls and common compliance issues identified by audits, program reviews, and NASFAA's Standards of Excellence Peer Review Program.
  2. Identify offices impacted by the rules and regulations to assess who has responsibility for various components of administrative capability and determine how to win the attention and cooperation of those offices.
  3. Discuss how to achieve the necessary cross-campus communication to ensure compliance; participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences (both successes and failures).
  4. Provide tools and develop strategies for achieving compliance with administrative capability requirements.
