Use this form to ask questions about regulatory and compliance issues. We will acknowledge receipt of your question within one business day. We will respond to your question by phone, fax, or e-mail.

Many questions require research and/or consultation with the Department of Education, which may delay our answer. We do not share identifiable institutional information with the Department unless authorized by the school.

In formulating your question, please be as precise and detailed as possible. The more information you provide, the more likely we will be able to answer your question without the need for further clarification.

Responses represent NASFAA’s understanding of an issue. While we believe that these responses are accurate and factual, they are not approved by the Department of Education. If you need written confirmation of specific policy guidance, you should contact your ED Regional Office or the Department’s Customer Service Call Center (1-800-433-7327).
