This letter announces the approval of the revised version of the “Loan Discharge Application: Unpaid Refund” for use by borrowers in the Direct Loan Program, FFEL Program, and Perkins Loan Program. The revised form includes minor changes from the previous version. The form allows borrowers to apply for a loan discharge when a portion of a loan was not refunded in accordance with the regulations.
