NASFAA President and CEO Justin Draeger provided testimony on Wednesday, March 13, before the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce in a hearing entitled "Keeping College Within Reach: Examining Opportunities to Strengthen Federal Student Loan Programs.” In his testimony, Draeger offered suggestions for improving the current federal student loan programs and emphasized that the system must be reformed all at once rather than piece-by-piece, as incremental reform often leads to unintended or unforeseen consequences. Along with other witnesses, he outlined recommendations for reform of the student loan interest rates.
