July 26 Webinar Session Presentation And Handouts Are Now Available

The July 26, Webinar recording on the Loan Issues Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and accompanying handouts, plus the PowerPoint presentation slides, are now available online. Just go to the event lobby and enter your registration information to view the recorded event and handouts, which will be available until Oct. 25, 2007. Printable PowerPoint slides can also be accessed online without going to the Webinar site, but the Webinar site now has all five of the handouts in one place.

If you previously registered for this event, you should have received an email notifying you of this information from NASFAA Webinar Registration Confirmation [notifier@on24.com]. If you have not previously registered, then you will have to register online in order to launch the presentation. It lasts one hour and twenty minutes. The session recording will require Windows Media Player or Realplayer and audio speakers on your computer to be viewed.

Note from Webinar moderator Larry Zaglaniczny:

I want to bring three items to your attention. First, inadvertently the PowerPoint presentation slides were not available for downloading and printing at the time of last week's Webinar. NASFAA sincerely apologizes for this error. I had assumed Webinar participants could print out the presentation in order to make notes along the sides of the slides. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced due to this error.

Second, during the slide presentation, from time to time, I would announce we were on a particular slide number, but what you saw on your computer was an entirely different slide number. While we are attempting to find out why this happened, right now we do not know. It may have something to do with the way we do math and count here in Washington!

Third, again, I want to thank all our financial aid administrator colleagues and friends from other associations who participated as non-federal negotiators in the Negotiated Rulemaking discussions. These eight individuals provided their knowledge and comments on the regulatory items that were discussed in the Webinar. In my opinion, they made the Webinar successful and NASFAA is grateful for apt comments and willingness to share their expertise with you our Webinar participants.

Finally, we are grateful, too, for your participation and even if you missed the live event you can still view it through October and get the handouts by following the above instructions. If you have further comments about the Webinar or wish to suggest future Webinar training events please Email your comments or suggested other Webinar topics to me at larryz@nasfaa.org.
