Professionalism and Ethics Presenter: In addition to his financial aid duties at Texas Christian University, Mike coordinates the University’s retention efforts and is a member of the enrollment management team. He also currently serves as the Chancellor’s Executive Leadership Intern, a cabinet level position that provides him with the opportunity to observe how senior leaders address strategic planning, resource allocation, development, and policy issues. His other professional activities include serving on advisory boards for a number of higher education organizations, including the College Board CSS Council, and PeopleSoft. Mike has a special interest in global education and has conducted financial aid workshops in Europe, Central America, Canada, and Mexico. He is an experienced presenter, having led sessions at state, regional, and national conferences as well as at the European Council of International Schools. He has an MBA from Texas Christian University and has been in financial aid for 19 years. Presenter: Julia, a veteran financial aid administrator, has been the Director of Student Financial Aid at The Ohio State University since August 1, 2006. Prior to her current position, she worked at Rice University, Macalester College, and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Julia has been an active member of the financial aid professional associations, and is very passionate about issues related to need analysis, diversity in higher education, higher education financing, and maximizing staff performance. She is currently a member of the NASFAA Training and Best Practices Committee.
