Online Lender List - Best Practices

    Monday, 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm
    Tuesday 10:15 am - 11:30 am

Doing more with less and leveraging technology to accomplish this are nothing new to schools. However, applying these techniques to best manage the student loan application and promissory note process flow may be moving into unfamiliar territory for some. The regulations are clear; schools may use a lender list as long as they adhere to the requirements set forth in the regulations. A lender list, or defined borrower process, is the most effective way to guide students into an optimized certification and disbursement process flow. This session will explain clearly the components now needed in an online lender list including important value added features which, while not mandated by regulation minimize complexity for schools and maximize choice for borrowers. The session will also include an in-depth demonstration of the lender, guarantor, and servicer neutral online lender selection tool created by Great Lakes named FASTChoice.
