PESC Members Elect Incumbents To Board Of Directors And Board Appoints Officers

SunGard Higher Education's Bill Hollowsky Appointed Chair of Board

Washington DC - At their Annual Membership Meeting held April 28, 2008 during the 5th Annual Conference on Technology and Standards, the Members of the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) elected incumbents Brian Allison of USA Funds representing the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP), Ron King of Nelnet Business Solutions, Francisco Valines of Florida International University representing that National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), Andy Wood of Oracle Corporation and newly elected Doug Falk of the National Student Clearinghouse to PESC's Board of Directors. All were elected for two years terms which run July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010.

Additionally, during its first meeting of the new fiscal year, the Board elected Bill Hollowsky of SunGard Higher Education as Chair of the Board of Directors, Francisco Valines as Vice Chair, Doug Falk as Treasurer and Rick Skeel of the University of Oklahoma representing the American Association of Collegiate Regitrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) as Secretary. The Board of Directors thanks Pete Nalli of Datatel for his service as Chair for the past three years.

To ensure balance and even representation across the various sectors of higher education, the make-up of the PESC Board of Directors is designated by PESC's bylaws. The Board has overall authority to set PESC policies and provides direction and guidance for all activities of PESC, including conferences and development work conducted by the Steering Committee under the Standards Forum for Education.
