During Program Reviews, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) can impose monetary fines of up to $27,500 per violation, and publish your findings for anyone to see. To reduce the risk of adverse findings, more schools are hiring compliance officers to manage the school’s ability to fulfill all federal requirements. NASFAA provides assistance in a variety of ways to help member schools remain in compliance with federal rules and requirements. These services are available not only to financial aid administrators, but anyone across campus who deals with Title IV compliance, such as campus safety officials, business offices, and housing departments. Watch this webinar to learn about NASFAA’s self-service means for schools to evaluate their own operations collaboratively across departments, assisted-service tools that allow schools to ask specific questions, or full-service solutions that evaluate your institution’s administration of federal financial aid.
