NASFAA will host a Diversity Caucus meting on Sunday, July 14 at the NASFAA National Conference, from 2:30–3:45pm at the ARIA Resort & Casino (room location TBA).
This highly interactive session will feature Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, who will share his personal story of success and how he achieved the position of President, University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In 2012, Time Magazine named Hrabowski one of the Top 100 most influential people in the world, lauding him for "turning a humble commuter school into one of the nation's leading sources of African Americans who get PhDs in science and engineering." His brief retrospective on how he achieved his goals and overcame obstacles will be followed by a question-and-answer session with attendees. NASFAA President Justin Draeger, National Chair Ron Day, and Past National Chair Pam Fowler will join Dr. Hrabowski at this event.
To attend the caucus, you must be registered for the conference, either as full registrant or as a daily registrant for Sunday, July 14.
