Video: Early FAFSA

Executive action by President Obama in fall 2015 led to important changes for students and families. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will now be available in October, instead of January, leaving more time for students and families to prepare for college. Learn more about the change in this quick video from the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).

For more resources about the earlier FAFSA date and the change to the use of prior-prior year (PPY) income information, check out the PPY Toolkit for financial aid offices, or watch our video to hear from financial aid administrators about why this move to using PPY is so important.
