NASFAA: Student Aid and Sequestration
Higher Education Talk Radio on Tuesday discussed sequestration and how it will effect student aid. NASFAA Managing Director of Policy and Federal Relations Megan McClean was a guest on the program. "We have a pretty good idea now of how sequestration is going to impact student aid, at least for the first year," McClean said. Sequestration is a 10-year process, which is "something that often gets lost in the discussion," she said, adding, "We're very focused on what's happening now in this first year but sequestration as it's structured is a 10-year process."
