The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA)
has developed materials for financial aid administrators, high school counselors,
and other interested parties to use when conducting financial aid night presentations.
The presentation guide is not a full script. Instead, it assumes that the
presenter is familiar with the Title IV programs and application process, and
presents key points in a bulleted format to guide the presenter through the
presentation. The presentation guide also recommends that presenters provide
members of the audience with copies of the 2009-10 FAFSA on the Web (FOTW)
Worksheet and the Student Aid Program Summary Chart to use as references during
the presentation.
The PowerPoint presentation follows the presentation guide.
These materials include:
- Guide to Planning and Conducting a Financial Aid Night, describing all the steps on how to set up an informative financial aid night
- What You Need to Know about Financial Aid, is a financial aid night presentation that goes with the PowerPoint slide show (below) that provides the basic information students and parents need to know when applying for financial aid. The presentation and slide show follow the format of the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet.
- Handouts to help students and parents through the financial aid process [PDFs below].
