ED Announces New Document Center in COD

The Department of Education (ED) announced the creation of the new Document Center, which is hosted on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website as a part of the Partner Eligibility and Oversight Services (PEOS) office at the Department of Education, Federal Student Aid (FSA). The PEOS office is responsible for program compliance activities that provide integrated oversight of postsecondary schools and financial institutions participating in the Title IV programs.
The Document Center replaces the previous method of using email or physical mail to send compliance documents for ED review, as well as converting paper documents into electronic formats, and storing documents in email folders or shared team folders. Those processes will now be replaced with a centralized submission portal that allows school users to upload their documents securely. The new Document Center also contains a school-specific dashboard to notify users about FSA requests, and makes it easy to search previously uploaded documents.
As of August 14, this portal is the only way for schools and third-party affiliates to upload documents for review and can be accessed via logging into the COD website. This is also how FSA will send compliance related documents to your institution.
Documents to be uploaded include items for compliance reviews related to:
- Eligibility and Certification
- Program Reviews
- Financial Analysis
- Compliance Audits
- Method of Payment
