At NASFAA’s business meeting on Tuesday, members were provided with an update on the association’s budget and diversity efforts and given a glimpse of the new Compliance Engine, which made its debut at the National Conference. NASFAA also presented several awards to members and colleagues for their achievements in the financial aid and higher education policy professions. NASFAA's 2015-16 National Chair Dan Mann passed the gavel to 2016-17 National Chair Lisa Blazer, who then bestowed upon him the Allan W. Purdy Distinguished Service Award. “It has been an extreme honor and privilege” to serve as chair, Mann told attendees.
