As little as $1,000 in additional grant aid each year can have an impact for community college students by increasing the likelihood they will enroll in summer courses, as well as the likelihood they will complete their degree programs, according to a new study.

"College grads have claimed for years that they were putting off buying a home because of student debt. Now, there's strong proof that their loans really have pulled down homeownership rates," CNN Money reports.

"Students with disabilities deserve access to higher education to achieve their dreams and goals like everyone else. That is the message several panelists delivered Thursday at a session on the Improving Access to Higher Education Act," Diverse: Issues in Higher Education reports.

"Enrollment of international students in U.S. institutions of higher education is believed to be down for the coming school year — and the Trump administration may make it harder for those who do come to stay," The Washington Post reports.

"The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced a new rule that will disallow companies from using mandatory arbitration clauses that often prevent groups from having their day in court. The move by the CFPB was announced through a press release on July 10," according to the Student Loan Report.
