Financial Aid on the Web

Five New York Area Schools Offer Free Tuition to Attack-Victims' Children (The New York Times)

Rutgers, Columbia, Long Island University, and the city and state universities of New York (CUNY and SUNY) said that they planned to provide scholarships for dependents of victims in last week's attacks. In some cases, the universities said they would cover full tuition, room and board. Other campuses that have already made scholarship offers include New York University and Keuka College. Connecticut's governor proposed that Connecticut children who lost a parent or guardian in last week's attacks be educated free at a state college. Some universities, such as Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, have created special scholarship funds. Fordham University plans a memorial fund for family members of victims. Harvard University will provide scholarship assistance for the children and spouses of victims to attend schools across the country.
