OCR’s New York Office Closed Due to Terrorist Attacks
September 12, 2001
Notice to Recipients and Complainants who are Currently Working with OCR's New York Office:
Due to the damage throughout the Manhattan area that has resulted from the terrorist attacks of September 11, the New York Office of the Office for Civil Rights is unable to respond to you at this time. We are working to restore normal operations as soon as possible, and if you have a pending matter with this office, you will receive a letter with information about the handling of your case shortly and the name and phone number of an individual you may contact. In the interim you may contact the Philadelphia or >Boston> offices for information.
