The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund was established to provide education assistance for postsecondary study to members of families impacted by events of September 11, 2001. Contributors to the fund want to ensure that the children and spouses of those who died or were permanently disabled will have the opportunity to continue their education.
NASFAA and fund administrator Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America (CSFA) seek to ensure that students who may be struggling to pay for expenses are aware of the fund.
Students who are seeking assistance should:
Call 1-877-862-0136 NOW for help paying expenses for the current fall term.
Call 1-877-862-0136 or send an e-mail to familiesoffreedom@csfa.org for an application for assistance available for the second term starting January 2002.
For subsequent terms, also call 1-877-862-0136 or send an e-mail to familiesoffreedom@csfa.org.
