Maryland College Fund to Help September 11 Victims' Families (The Washington Post)

Maryland state officials said they were launching a fundraising drive to make sure that Maryland children who lost a parent in the September 11 attacks can go to college, The Washington Post reported. At least 53 such children have been identified. Money also will go to students at Maryland public colleges who live out of state but lost parents September 11. The Post said state officials have identified at least six eligible students and that making sure they can meet their tuition payments in January would be the highest priority.
