Campuses Seeing ROTC Revival; Burgeoning Interest Reported Since Terrorist Attacks (Boston Globe)

"While national enrollment statistics aren't available yet, ROTC officials on campuses around the country say the number of students seeking information by phone, applying for scholarships on the Web, and walking into their offices has increased substantially since the Sept. 11 attacks," the Boston Globe reports. The article notes that the number of students who have applied for scholarships in the Air Force ROTC program swelled from 550 this time last year to 3,000 this year, although other factors may be involved, including better marketing and more attention to the programs at the Pentagon.
