Jeff Andrade Goes to ED, Kathleen Smith Moves to House Education Committee
Kathleen Smith will join the House Education and the Workforce Committee August 22 as a professional staff member advising Republican lawmakers on higher education and student financial assistance legislative matters. Smith is currently Chief of Staff and Director of Corporate Communications for the Education Finance Council. Smith will replace Sally Stroup, who left the Committee to join the University of Phoenix.
Jeffrey R. Andrade was named higher education adviser to Deputy Secretary of Education William Hansen (who is former president of the Education Finance Council). Andrade is a policy and technology expert who was founder of Andrade & Associates, a consulting, advocacy, and research firm.
