The October/November 2001 edition of The Standard, the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council newsletter, is now available on-line on the PESC Web site.
PESC Board of Directors Chair Keith Riccitelli reports that in addition to XML standards for education, PESC is interested in the following initiatives in 2001-2002:
Development of a router/translator for high school and postsecondary
records
Development of broad data standards for exchanging e-signatures
Development of a global institutional identifier
