A Day of Remembrance

Dear Colleagues,

In our everyday lives, each of us marks different dates on our calendar as a reminder of events or happenings that occurred in the past but remain particularly important or meaningful to us.

Sometimes, however, an event occurs on a particular date that lives forever as a constant reminder of where we were and what we experienced on that date. This Wednesday, September 11th, certainly is a date that all of us will remember for the rest of our lives, and therefore for this year the NASFAA Office will be closed for a day of reflection and remembrance of the tragic events of last year.

As we mark this day, our thoughts and condolences again go out to all of the families and friends who lost loved ones, as well as our best wishes for the continued recovery of those who were injured. And we all pray that in the days ahead, education, tolerance, and understanding can help everyone to live in peace throughout the world for the remainder of our generation and for generations to come.
