NASFAA is looking for additional neophyte financial aid administrators to help test the LearnStudentAid.org Web-based training modules. Individuals should have less than two years experience in financial aid, and can be administrative professionals, counselors, or support staff.
LearnStudentAid.org is NASFAA's Web-based training project developed in partnership with Texas Guaranteed in Austin, TX, which serves as the technology provider, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, which provides alpha testing and quality control services.
For additional information about this project, visit www.LearnStudentAid.org. Currently, there are two complete modules in testing: the overview of the student financial aid programs and cost of attendance. Additional modules will be made available to testers as they are completed. A number of experienced financial aid administrators have already been identified to serve as mentors. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the training for neophytes, we need new people right away.
By serving as a tester, you can help NASFAA make improvements in the training, while learning at no cost to you, since the modules will be free during the testing process. NASFAA has not set module pricing yet for when they become available to the public.
To sign up for LearnStudentAid, please go to www.learnstudentaid.org/signup/survey and complete the on-line form. Once the form is submitted, you will receive a username and password that allows access to the LearnStudentAid modules.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the project staff at LearnStudentAid@nasfaa.org.
