RE: 2002-2003 EDE Technical Reference - Signature Record Layout Corrections

CPS/WAN Technical Support wishes to alert you to a recently discovered issue affecting the Signature Record Layout (message class SIGS03IN) in the 2002-2003 EDE Technical Reference.
On page 3-113 of the Signature Record Layout, Field 11 (Federal School Code), and Field 12 (filler space) are listed in the wrong positions. Field 11 is described as occupying positions 472-477. The correct positions for Field 11 are 471-476. Field 12 is listed as occupying positions 478-552. The correct positions for Field 12 are 477-552.
By placing the Federal School Code data in positions 471-476, the Signature Record Layout will match the Correction Export Record Layout found on page 3-105 of the 2002-2003 EDE Technical Reference.
The 2002-2003 EDE Technical Reference will be modified to reflect these corrections. You will be notified in a separate network message when reference updates have been posted to the Web.
NOTE: The 2002-2003 EDExpress software will correctly create and export Signature records (SIGS03IN). This message is intended for schools creating SIGS03IN files in non-EDExpress systems, which are based on the 2002-2003 EDE Technical Reference record layouts.
