NASFAA presented testimony on reauthorization recommendations at the Department of Education's March 7, 2003 public hearing in Kansas City, Mo. The testimony addressed specifically the seven questions ED identified as the basis for its public hearing.
The statement was presented by NASFAA Reauthorization Task Force Chair Laurie Wolf of Des Moines Area Community College, who served as the Association's official representative at the hearing. Earlier this month NASFAA published an article on the ED hearing in which Wolf reported on the discussions that took place.
In addition to submitting the Kansas City testimony, NASFAA gave the Department the recommendations submitted in December to the House of Representatives Subcommittee on 21st Century Competitiveness.
