ACE and NACUBO Unveil Web Site to Assist Colleges and Universities in Relief Effort

The American Council on Education (ACE) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) have started a Web site intended to serve as an information hub for campus relief efforts.

CampusRelief.org, underwritten by TIAA-CREF, provides links to the wide range of relief activities already established by a number of higher education associations and other organizations. NASFAA's Hurricane Katrina Resource Page at http://www.nasfaa.org/katrina.asp is given as the student aid resource under "Resources for Campus." Soon the site will allow for individual postings by campuses so that they can coordinate resources.

The name CampusAid.org was selected, rather than a name specific to Katrina, to allow the site to be reused for future national/campus emergency situations.

ACE and NACUBO said they intend to improve the site and add to it in the coming weeks. Forward any ideas or suggestions to ACE Public Affairs Director Tim McDonough (tim_mcdonough@ace.nche.edu) or NACUBO Senior Vice President Matthew W. Hamill at (mhamill@nacubo.org).
