2007 Call For Entries For NASFAA Conference Poster Session

NASFAA is pleased to announce the 2007 call for institutional participants in its annual Poster Session, to be held in July at the 2007 NASFAA Conference in Washington, DC. This recognition activity showcases innovative financial aid practices at the campus level. You can use this opportunity to share your school's special solution to a financial aid process or procedure with your colleagues. We are particularly interested in effective institutional practices and procedures that focus on access and diversity.

Poster Sessions offer an informal opportunity for the exchange of information and ideas about a particular practice. Details are conveyed by the use of graphs, diagrams, pictures, data, and narrative text displayed on a 24" x 36" poster. Participants are encouraged to informally discuss their presentations with Conference attendees during specific hours for the Poster Session; however inability to attend the conference should not be viewed as a reason not submit a proposal. The Poster Session time slot during the Conference will be announced in the pre-conference program.

All NASFAA Institutional Members in good standing are welcome to submit proposals for Poster Sessions.

Poster Session proposals that are selected for presentation at the NASFAA Conference are recognized with a certificate of participation, a letter to the institution's chief executive officer acknowledging participation, and inclusion in a NASFAA project listing. There is no cash prize.

Selection Criteria

Posters will be considered on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Originality. The activity reflects a new idea or a creative and innovative approach to an old idea.
  • Applicability to other institutions. The activity can be duplicated or transferred to other institutions easily and at reasonable cost.
  • Impact on student financial aid. The activity furthers the goals, purposes, and objectives of student financial aid.
NASFAA reserves the right to limit the number of posters.

To be considered for participation, each Poster Session proposal must contain:

  • Title of proposal
  • Institution name
