ED's On-Line HERA Training: Additional Space Available
At last week's NASFAA Conference in Seattle, Department of Education officials reminded attendees that it has increased from 50 to 500 the space available for each of Federal Student Aid's on-line, instructor-led training sessions to inform financial aid administrators of the provisions of the Higher Education Reconciliation Act (HERA), as previously announced in ANN-06-07 on June 19, 2006.
The webinar training is being offered in three modules:
Module 1: Academic Competitiveness Grant and National SMART Grant Programs
Module 2: Student Eligibility, Institutional Eligibility, COA, Need Analysis and Return of Title IV Funds
Module 3: Loan Issues
The training is being offered until August 17, 2006, so if you attempted to register previously but were unable to do so, you now have a second chance. Additional information and registration procedures are contained in ANN-06-07.
NASFAA strongly encourages your participation as ED guidance continues to evolve with questions and input from webinar participants.
