Congressman Ric Keller To Address NASFAA Conference Attendees
NASFAA is pleased to announce that Congressman Ric Keller has agreed to be the featured speaker at the NASFAA Annual Conference luncheon on Monday, July 7 at 12:15 PM.
Mr. Keller was re-elected in November 2006 to his fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He represents the people of the 8th Congressional District, which covers the greater Orlando area and stretches from Celebration to Ocala.
Congressman Keller has served as the chairman, and now ranking member, of the House higher education subcommittee. As the only Floridian in Congress to serve on the House Education and Labor Committee, Congressman Keller is the state's point man on education issues in Washington. Congressman Keller was a Pell Grant recipient when he was an undergraduate. When he came to the House he founded and is currently the Chairman of the Pell Grant Caucus that works for increased Pell Grant funding.
Congressman Keller was raised in Orlando, and graduated from Boone High School. He received his bachelor's degree from East Tennessee State University, where he graduated first in his class. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University.
