Financial Aid in the News

Student Loan Company To Shut Down (The Patriot-News)

"Campus Door will honor all student-loan commitments that are approved or pending, but is not accepting new loan applications," The Patriot-News reports. "Peter D'Annibale, director of financial aid and scholarships at Shippensburg University, said he has received assurances from Campus Door that the company will honor all loan commitments to students. Student lenders have been hit hard by the credit crisis and have less money to lend."

Editor's Note - NASFAA has confirmed that as of Friday, September 19, 2008, Campus Door was still originating new loans.
