New Law To Trim College Financial Aid Form (The American Statesman)
"Applying for college financial aid might never be fun, but it could soon be quicker," The American Statesman reports. "Legislation passed by Congress this week takes several steps to lighten the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, an 11-page form that the federal government uses to estimate how much a family can spend on college. The legislation does not set out a specific time frame for the change, leaving that up to the agencies involved."
