Connecticut: Three Rivers Students Lose Lender (Norwich Bulletin)

"One student lender has said it will stop offering loans to Three Rivers Community College students next year, another sign of a potentially tighter student loan market caused by the credit crunch," the Norwich Bulletin reports. "Three Rivers officials received a letter from Student Loan Corp. last month saying it would not lend money to Three Rivers students for the immediate future, financial aid director Hong-Yu Kovic said. The corporation, the student loan arm of Citibank, is one of the school's preferred lenders. Of 3,600 Three Rivers students, about 200 have loans. The college does not track how many have loans from the corporation."
