Pennsylvania: NEED Center For Students Seeking Financial Aid Opens Downtown (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)
"A college-access program for black students is scheduled to open a new Downtown center today that will help students apply for college and financial aid," the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. "NEED's move from the Regional Enterprise Tower on Sixth Avenue to Warner Centre on Fifth Avenue doubles its space. 'We moved primarily to come to a location that would make ourselves more accessible to the public -- specifically for students interested in pursuing postsecondary education,' said Sylvester Pace, NEED president and CEO. NEED was founded 45 years ago and helps get internships and provides $800,000 a year in grants and scholarships for black students from 150 high schools in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties."
