Credit Squeeze Hasn't Cut Off Loans For College (East Volusia News-Journal)
"The gray clouds of the credit crunch have threatened higher education, which is more dependent than ever on lenders," the East Volusia News-Journal reports. "But thus far, student borrowers and their families have largely been able to walk between the raindrops. Some students reported delays in getting funds. Others were forced to scramble after some companies pulled out of the lending business. But for most students, money for the fall term was accessible, financial aid directors said."
