Tennessee: Late Loan Arrivals Won't Hinder Students (The Tennessean)

"MTSU students who have applied for loans from Edamerica - totaling between $8 million and $9 million - will have to wait until Thursday or Friday to get the money," The Tennessean reports. "The good news is they can still go to class this week. 'I know that folks in Financial Aid have given students book vouchers that will allow them to go ahead and get books,' said Tom Tozer, director of MTSU News and Public Affairs. 'We are doing everything we can to take the burden off of students because of the delay.' The CEO of the Knoxville-based company told a Knoxville newspaper that every student will get their money. 'Edamerica sent students or parents a letter telling them this was happening,' said David Chambers, associate director of the Financial Aid Department at MTSU."
