Washington: Cutting Costs By Cutting Higher Education (KIMA-TV)
"Central Washington University and other schools asked to chop 20 percent off their cash from the state," KIMA-TV reports. "Recently it seems most meetings focus on cutting costs, first Central chopped travel expenses, supplies and office printing then there was the hiring freeze. Now, the university was asked to plan to trim $12 million from their budget. 'They are our future and so we want very much to support our students and need the financial aid to do that,' said Ellen Hall, Vice President for University Relations."
