Fun College Awareness Event Free For 8th Graders And Parents (NHHEAF Network)
Concord, N.H. - Discover U, an event designed to give 8th graders a head start on planning for
college, is happening Saturday, April 26th at Southern NH University. The NHHEAF Network
Organizations' created Discover U in recognition of the need to educate families on the
importance of planning and preparing for higher education before high school begins. This is
the second of two Discover U events this spring. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to Noon
on Saturday, April 26th at Southern NH University. The day will be filled with early planning sessions
for parents including information about saving for college; a campus scavenger hunt; college
trivia game and the chance to hear from current college students on a student question and
answer panel. Admission is free and all 8th grade students in attendance are eligible to enter a
raffle for prizes including three $100 college scholarships, gift cards and college paraphernalia.
