Something For Everyone In NASFAA Annual Conference Technology Interest Sessions

Large schools, small schools, technology neophytes or pros - everyone can benefit from the six interest sessions designed by the NASFAA Technology Initiatives Committee at the 2008 conference in Orlando.

Data Collection is the focus of the session entitled "Data Collection and Management 101." This session will help you look critically at how you collect, maintain and manage data and proactively identify common problems with presentation.

Staffing Issues: The workplace is changing rapidly, and financial aid offices must increasingly compete with industry for the technology workers they need to manage the increasingly technology-dependent financial aid office. Have you ever encountered difficulties with hiring and retaining technology staff for the financial aid office? Have you ever considered teleworking as a possible solution to staffing problems? In either case, the sessions on "Hiring and Retaining Information Technology Staff" and "Can Teleworking Work in the Financial Aid Office" may be just what you need to help you find solutions.

New Technologies: Web 2.0 and other "new" technologies are revolutionizing the way we work together and collaborate on projects. In sessions on collaborative calendars, shared service centers, and other new technologies, you can learn from others who have explored and started to use these technologies.

Here, in the order of the conference schedule, are the sessions in the technology track:
