Publication Date: September 5, 2008
Summary: SAIG Enrollment Web Site Unavailable September 14, 2008 To Implement Security Enhancements
Federal Student Aid would like to announce that the Student Aid Internet Gateway
(SAIG) Enrollment Web site (fsawebenroll.ed.gov)
will be unavailable from 8:00 A.M. (ET) until 8:00 P.M. (ET) on Sunday, September
14, 2008, so we can implement the following security enhancements:
Only the administrator of the Primary Destination Point (the "owner"
of the primary TG number on file with the Department of Education) will be
able to add new users or to make changes to services for TG numbers assigned
to his or her organization.
To verify your Primary Destination Point and the identity of your organization's
Primary Destination Point Administrator (PDPA), go to fsawebenroll.ed.gov
and click the "Review your organizations mailboxes" icon. Log
in with your TG number and authenticating information and click "Submit."
The PDPA will be listed first with a status indicator of "Primary."
An edit will be added that will require the PDPA to have an e-mail address
on file before he or she adds new users for his or her organization or makes
enrollment changes for existing users.
