Harvard Business School Request For Information (RFI) From Lenders Offering Non-Federal Student Loans

BOSTON, April 17, 2008 - Harvard Business School is seeking information from lenders offering non-federal student educational loans for the 2008-2009 academic year through a Request for Information (RFI) process. This request seeks one loan product for all domestic and international graduate students in the MBA program. It does not concern Federal Stafford or PLUS loans.

With ten years of private lending experience and a total portfolio in excess of two hundred fifty million dollars, Harvard Business School has more than 8,000 active loans to both domestic and international students and an exceptionally low default rate.

Any lenders interested in submitting information should provide notice of intent by April 25, 2008, by e-mailing the following information to sgilbert@hbs.edu:
