BOSTON, April 21, 2008 - Harvard University is seeking information from lenders offering non-federal student educational loans for the 2008-2009 academic year through a Request for Information (RFI) process. This request seeks one loan product for all of our domestic and international graduate and professional students (excluding Harvard Business School students) be they full-time, half-time, or less than half-time. It does not concern Federal Stafford or PLUS loans.
With five years of private lending experience (FY03-FY08) and a total portfolio in excess of $125 million, over 4,700 international and domestic borrowers maintain an exceptionally low private loan default rate.
Any lenders interested in submitting information should provide notice of intent by April 28, 2008, by e-mailing the following information to laurie_hogan@harvard.edu:
