TEACH Grant NPRM Enhanced With Navigation Links

In anticipation of NASFAA's TEACH Grant Webinar Series and the April 21 deadline to submit comments on the TEACH Grant Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), NASFAA has created a PDF version of the TEACH NPRM with internal links that allows users to efficiently navigate the document.

The links in the modified version of the NPRM allow users to move from the beginning of the document to the table of contents of the TEACH proposed rule language. There is also a bookmark added to allow users to access the table of contents no matter where they are in the document. Simply, open the bookmarks on the left tab to access this feature.

The table of contents is also linked to respective sections of the rules, and links have been added to take users back and forth between the discussion of sections in the preamble and the corresponding proposed rule language.

The links from the preamble to the rule are highlighted in yellow; the links from the rule to the preamble are boxed.

NASFAA encourages members to register for the free TEACH Grant Webinars. The first Webinar, TEACH Grant Fundamentals and Responding to the NPRM, will be held April 7 at 1:30 p.m. EDT and the second Webinar, Collaborating to Recruit and Counsel Students will be held April 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. EDT. These Webinars are cosponsored by the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE).

NASFAA also encourages members to review the proposed TEACH Grant regulatory language and provide comments and responses to NASFAA and to the U.S. Department of Education. Comments should be e-mailed to NASFAA at nprm@nasfaa.org with "TEACH Grant" in the subject line. Comments should be submitted to the Department through the Regulations.gov Web site.
