NASFAA has updated CORE for the 2009-10 academic year. CORE is a comprehensive set of instructional materials designed by NASFAA for training financial aid professionals with less than two years experience. CORE's 13 modules cover financial aid administration from A to Z! It includes topics such as application processing, need analysis, cost of attendance, verification, ACG/SMART/TEACH programs, return of Title IV funds, and more.
- CORE's flexible design enables you to teach small or large groups.
- Topics can be reordered to suit your own needs.
- CORE is designed for structured training, not as a self-learning tool. Each CORE module contains an instructor's guide and an accompanying trainee handout.
- A case study approach is used throughout to help illustrate the points and principles taught.
- A PowerPoint presentation is included for each module.
- CORE is available on CD-ROM only.
Modules cannot be purchased individually. CORE is updated by May 1 every year. The minimum cost for the 2009-10 update for institutional members is $200. This includes 20 training licenses (that is, handouts and powerpoints may be reproduced to instruct up to 20 individuals). Additional training licenses may be purchased for $10 each.
