NASFAA Self-Evaluation Guide For 2008-09: Phase Three Now Available

The third phase of the 24th edition of the NASFAA Self-Evaluation Guide for Institutional Participation in Title IV and Other Federal Programs is now available on NASFAA's Web site.

The Guide is being posted in phases. The third phase includes the following sections:

  • Personnel and Interoffice Communication;
  • Recommended Good Practices;
  • Health Professions Student Loans, Primary Care Loans, and Loans for Disadvantaged Students; and
  • Nursing Student Loans

The Guide uses a question and answer format, and allows the user to enter a response to each question electronically.

This edition of NASFAA's Self-Evaluation Guide serves as an in-house self assessment tool to help your institution prepare for required audits of the institution's administration of the Title IV and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) student financial assistance programs during the 2008-09 award year. Requirements representing changes effective for the 2008-09 award year are highlighted. We hope that you find the Guide helpful as you evaluate your institution's compliance with current statutes, regulations, and other U.S. Department of Education (ED) and HHS requirements.

The Guide is a benefit of NASFAA membership. You will need a Web ID and a password to access it.

We will post additional sections of the Guide to NASFAA's Web site as they are completed. Watch Today's News for announcements as we add additional sections.
