NASFAA's Student Access and Diversity Committee is soliciting "best practices" being conducted by member schools to promote student access and diversity at your campus.
In order to increase diversity on your campuses, what best practice has worked for your institution? Do you also have collaborative partnerships that you have formed with other organizations or community programs to support student access and diversity?
In addition, the committee is interested in what's next once you get them in the door. Access starts with financial aid, but what do you do to keep them? How does your campus help them cover other expenses and what other support systems are provided to ensure your students are successful?
The committee encourage you to submit your innovative access and diversity programs. Graduate and Professional schools are also encouraged to submit how they have encouraged traditionally underserved students who have achieved success at the undergraduate level to enter graduate/professional school. We would like to receive as many best practices as possible to review. The best will be selected and highlighted on the NASFAA Web site, in the Transcript, and/or at the NASFAA Conference.
Please submit your best practices by e-mail to Evelyn Nelson, Cristi Millard, Cathleen Patella or anyone on the NSAD Committee. The Committee is looking for a response by Feb. 13. Although, we will continue to collect them throughout the year for future updates to the Web site.
