Register Now for New NASFAA Webinar on Dependency Status

Time is running out to register for the latest NASFAA webinar, "Dependency Status: It Isn’t the Riddle of the Sphinx."

If you counsel students regarding appeals, review appeals, or develop polices and procedures regarding dependency appeals, then this Webinar is for you! To get the most from this Webinar, you should have a basic understanding of professional judgment principles and the definition of an independent student.

Next Wednesday, October 21, at 1:30 p.m. EDT, we will discuss in detail the criteria by which a student is considered independent for Title IV purposes - including new requirements for 2009-10 - and provide resources to help you determine whether or not a student meets a specific criterion. In addition to examining dependency appeals in depth, we will feature a discussion of dependency appeal scenarios submitted by registrants. At the completion of the Webinar, you will be able to determine dependency status and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. EDT

Site License: $85 members; $185 non-members As a registered participant, you will have access to the live Webinar and an archive of the entire event, including the presentation and handouts, for up to three months. You can also invite as many people from your organization as you wish to view the Webinar from a single login.
