Registration Ends Today for the Live Dependency Status Webinar

Registration ends at 5:00 PM (EDT) today for NASFAA's new webinar, "Dependency Status: It Isn’t the Riddle of the Sphinx." The live event will be presented this Wednesday, October 21, at 1:30 p.m. EDT.

To get the most from this Webinar, you should have a basic understanding of professional judgment principles and the definition of an independent student.

We will discuss in detail the criteria by which a student is considered independent for Title IV purposes - including new requirements for 2009-10 - and provide resources to help you determine whether or not a student meets a specific criterion. In addition to examining dependency appeals in depth, we will feature a discussion of dependency appeal scenarios submitted by registrants. At the completion of the Webinar, you will be able to determine dependency status and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. EDT

Site License: $85 members; $185 non-members

As a registered participant, you will have access to the live Webinar and an archive of the entire event, including the presentation and handouts, for up to three months. You can also invite as many people from your organization as you wish to view the Webinar from a single login. Even if you can't participate in the live Webinar, your institution can still receive all of the benefits of the event when you register to view a full, archived recording of the training. You will be able to download all slides and handouts.
